What You Get When Working With Us

Most of us have never taken the time out to really look in-depth at the way we eat and how it can affect our health and vitality. Yet we practice eating daily. Taking the time to become conscious of what we have been eating, and then figuring out what improvements can be made is a small yet essential investment, and one that can have returns in health and quality of life incomparable to almost anything else we do.

When working with you our goal is to give you the tools you need to eat in a way that will support your health in the years to come. We will look with you at what you have been doing and then we will develop an approach together that will efficiently transmit to you the knowledge you need and right tools for your lifestyle so that you may learn the new skills, implement the new habits and then continue with your life. While we believe that eating healthfully is an important enough part of life to dedicate our career to learning and teaching it, we do realize that it is just one part of life, or perhaps it can be thought of as a facilitator of everything else we would like to accomplish along this great journey.

Everyone has a different path when changing their eating habits and our approach will always take this into account. An essential piece of the approach we have developed is that there is no minimum amount of change you must be willing to make to get started. There are always small things that can be done that can start making noticeable improvements in how you eat and how you feel.

Since beginning my learning with you I feel like I have become a part of a community of people seeking positive change in their lives. For the first time I am actually enjoying the process of changing my nutritional intake. (I do not want to call this a diet, as I feel like it is a lifestyle change).

The best part of working with you is that you do not expect perfection and do not advocate restriction. Instead you have assisted me and encouraged me to make slow changes. You have provided me with knowledge as to what certain foods do to my body and why eating them or limiting them are beneficial. This way I can make an educated decision.

In January of 2007 Maria Mellano was suffering from fatigue, shortness of breath, anemia and high-fever. In the hospital it became evident that something serious was going on as the medical staff realized she was hemorrhaging into her lungs and kidneys. She was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease.

In this video you will hear her tell her own story of how through a healing diet and a Macro-Mediterranean approach to eating she has, in a short time, regained more health and vitality than her doctors thought possible.
