 . This book is a great introduction to Macrobiotics. It explains basic principles and cooking techiniques and how different foods and practices can affect the body from the macrobiotic perspective. It also has lots of testimonials of people who attribute healing from many different conditions to switching to a macrobiotic diet.
 . A jaw-dropping documentary on chemotherapy, radiation, the "cancer industry" and alternatives for cancer treatment. This documentary is extremely well-done in our opinion and we believe it to be a must-see movie. We have thoughts to share on what the viability of the various nutritional therapies presented would be over the long-term, but we cannot recommend this video highly enough. It will change your perspective on cancer.
 . A great look at the way Americans eat and the impact it has on our health and our environment. This is another fantastic documentary from this film maker. He does an incredible job of presenting much of the important research on diet and health to date that relate to America's 2 biggest killers, heart diease and cancer. While we believe that the diet he recommends can be improved upon, we feel that this is an important enough documentary to recommend it as a must-see.
 . This book caused a revolution in how people thought about food when it first came out. This is probably the most well-known book by Michio Kushi and we recommend it highly to gain deeper perspective on what macrobiotics has to offer as a nutritional therapy. This is a denser read that The Macrobiotic Way and some of the recommendations are now outdated but we still believe it is a worthwhile read for those wishing to delve deeper into the study of macrobiotic theory and principles.
