Maria Mellano
In January of 2007 Maria Mellano was suffering from fatigue, shortness of breath, anemia and high-fever when she was hospitalized for what her doctors initially thought was pneumonia. In the hospital it became evident that something much more serious was going on as the medical staff realized she was hemorrhaging into her lungs and kidneys. She was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, Wegener's Granulomatosis and was treated with steroids that saved her life.
Western medicine offers little in the way of long-term treatment for her condition, however, only containing her symptoms with strong drugs that would keep her alive but with dangerous side effects. At the suggestion of her doctor Maria decided to turn to Macrobiotics for healing. In this video you will hear her tell her own story of how through her following a healing diet and then maintaining a Macro-Mediterranean approach to eating and lifestyle she has, in a short time, regained more health and vitality than her doctors thought possible.
